Ongoing Mitigation of DDOS Attacks

At approximately 9:50 am CST this morning we identified several major DDOS attacks targeting clients within our datacenter. This may have lead to increased latency or difficulty reaching services for a short period of time. Our Support Staff and Network Engineers worked quickly to mitigate the situation and return traffic to normal by 10:10 am. We are continuing to monitor the network for further attacks and have brought in additional staff as a reserve. At present time, our focus is 100% on mitigation and keeping the network healthy. All services should be behaving as expected at this time but if you need further assistance, please feel free to open a ticket or call our support line directly. Due to the prevalence of nefarious groups around the world, cloud hosting companies worldwide have noticed a substantial uptick in DDOS/ransom attacks within the last two weeks. As always, we recommend that you do NOT pay the ransom as it will just encourage attacks. We would rather you contact us about how you can protect yourself in these situations. We apologize for any difficulty these attacks have caused you and we are putting our full effort behind mitigation. Once again, if you notice any additional problems, please don't hesitate to let us know. | |
