Preparing Nameservers to Point a Domain to Your New Server

There are two ways to set up name servers to point your domain to your new server. If you are hosting or planning to host more than one domain name, our preferred method is to create your own nameservers based upon your "primary" domain. For example, if your primary domain is "mydomain.com" your nameservers would be "ns1.mydomain.com" and "ns2.mydomain.com" and can be used for all of the domains hosted on your server. While this process will take you a little bit more time to configure right away, it should not delay DNS propagation at all and will decrease the amount of work you need to do in the future when you add more domains to your server. If you would rather just use our internal nameservers, the other option available, you will need to sign up for a free DNS hosting account and then for each domain you add to your control panel, you will also need to add all relevant DNS records to our DNS control panel as well.
